About the GLA International Foundation

The mission of Global Leadership Adventures International Foundation is to support grassroots organizations engaged in meaningful community or conservation projects overseas, and to make grants available to students of diverse backgrounds to participate in Global Leadership Adventures service-learning programs abroad.

GLAIF came to fruition at the request of Global Leadership Adventures’ program alumni. Returning from international service-learning programs, these teens were determined to find a way to continue to make change in communities around the globe by supporting locally driven projects from afar.

Additionally, the foundation helps provide access to travel experiences for students from underserved communities who may not have the financial means to travel through need-based grants.

About the GLA International Foundation

Global Leadership Adventures and its alumni have been supporting our community partner organizations since the inception of GLA.

In fact, the Global Leadership Adventures International Foundation was created as a way for GLA alumni, family members, staff and the general public to support our community partners in an ongoing way, instead of just during the course of summer programs.

Every year, alumni ask for ways to continue to contribute to the meaningful service projects and partner orgs they worked with on a GLA program, so that their impact is even more sustainable. The Community Partner Fund was born out of this idea.

Donations to this fund help our community partners stay fiscally strong year-round and continue their direct action on the ground in communities in-need and at-risk habitats around the globe.
